New iOS Music Apps in October 2026: Synths, AUv3 FX & Serato DJ

October 2026 kept the iPhone and iPad release calendar busy. Two new synthesizers, a four-stage phaser Audio Unit, and Serato's official DJ app all showed up this month. Tracker Pro for iPad is on the App Store too, and version 1.1 is the current update. Vesper and CRUX run standalone and as AUv3 plugins, so they load in AUM, Cubasis, Logic Pro, and GarageBand.
If you want a structured way to turn a new synth or sampler into a finished track, a music production course is still one of the faster routes from a preset to a song.
Synthesizers
Vesper
Amy Nicola McBride released Vesper on 7 October 2026, a virtual analog synthesizer for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It runs standalone and as an AUv3 plugin. Two oscillators sit at the core, and Swarm expands Oscillator B into as many as 15 related voices on each note. Fold is the wavefolder, Glow is the saturation, and two assignable Orbit sources handle modulation, with stereo delay and Space reverb on the output. There is an arpeggiator, MPE, MIDI 2.0 input, and Scala tuning import. Six free soundbanks with 46 presets are on the developer site.
The iPhone and iPad edition is US$14.99 and needs iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. The Mac edition is US$39.99 and needs macOS 13 or later on Intel or Apple silicon. Start at the Vesper site, or open the iPhone and iPad listing and the Mac listing.
CRUX
Dendy posted CRUX on 1 October 2026, a multi-engine polyphonic synthesizer for iPhone and iPad. It runs standalone and as an AUv3 instrument, and it needs iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later. Three oscillator slots each run one of six engines: Wavetable, MultiOsc, MultiOsc 2, FM, MultiSampler, or Dual VA. A SUB oscillator and a NOISE generator sit beside them. Polyphony goes up to 16 voices. The built-in keyboard supports MPE, and a recorder plus sampler let you capture audio and map it into a program.
The engine, filter, and modulation list is in Dendy's CRUX post.
Effects
Analog Stone
Quantovox released Analog Stone on 3 October 2026, a four-stage analog phaser AUv3 for iOS, priced at $5.99. It models an iconic 1979 revision of a four-stage analog phaser and uses the same analog modeling engine as RealPhase. RealPhase is the rackmount plugin, with 50-plus parameters. Analog Stone is the shorter version of that idea: the sweeping phaser color, plus an add-on circuit (a nod to the original V1 hardware) that reduces harshness at high modulation rates.

DJing
Serato DJ for iOS
Serato announced Serato DJ for iOS on 20 October 2026. It is the official Serato DJ app for iPhone and iPad, on the same engine as Serato DJ Pro, with the decks, crates, and waveforms rebuilt for a smaller screen. More than 120 controllers, turntables, and mixers are supported, including AlphaTheta, Hercules, Numark, Pioneer DJ, Rane, and Roland. Handheld Mode mixes from the screen when no hardware is plugged in.
Streaming covers Apple Music, Beatport, SoundCloud, Spotify, and Tidal. Serato iOS Transfer copies crates from a laptop, wirelessly or by cable, and keeps cue points, beatgrids, and metadata. The laptop side needs Serato DJ Pro or Serato DJ Lite 5.0 or later. The app is free to download from the App Store. Read the announcement or install it from the App Store.
Trackers
Tracker Pro for iPad
Tracker Pro from Dubspot is on the App Store for iPad and needs iPadOS 17 or later. It brings a tracker sequencer, a sampler, built-in synthesizers, effects, an AUv3 host, song arrangement, and WAV export together on one grid. Sequence samples and synths, slice breaks, host compatible AUv3 instruments and effects, arrange patterns into a song, and export the mix through Files or Share.
Version 1.1 adds Mutable Instruments Beads granular devices, web sampling, and multi-sample kits. The overview is Tracker Pro for iPad on Dubspot. Download it from the App Store. Full notes are in Tracker Pro for iPad.

COMPA 1.4 (4 October 2026) is a free update for existing owners on iPhone and iPad. It includes RD303, a bassline synth inside COMPA and as an AUv3, along with capture, dialogue, and DJ-deck tools. The COMPA 1.4 notes point new buyers to the App Store for the current price.
Tape Fiasco 2 from Creative Parade AB reached iPadOS on 14 September 2026, previously desktop-only, at $19.99. The same time-mangling workstation runs standalone and as an AUv3. Release note.
Stellarizer from Christopher Bryant arrived on iPad on 25 September 2026 at $7.99. This MIDI AUv3 (also standalone) turns one captured phrase into related patterns and generates MIDI, not audio. Release note.
